New Additions- June 2021
We have just a few new items to report this month-
First – After a run to the Country Canner in Harrisonburg our shelves are once again packed with their delicious fruit butters, jams, jellies and syrups including these cute, 16 oz “Made in the Shenandoah Valley” jars of Apple Butter with handles.
Also back on the shelf- Virginia Made Maple Syrup from Back Creek Farms. Located in the beautiful Back Creek Valley of Highland County, Back Creek Farms has one of the last working sugar houses left in the state. They produce their maple syrup the old fashioned way- by boiling down sugar water tapped from the maple trees surrounding their property, over a wood fire.
We have also restocked on Hard Ciders from Old Hill Cider. “Betwixt”, “Farmhand” and “Heritage” are back on the shelf along with a new addition- “Virginia Honey Ginger”. Virginia Honey Ginger Cider is made with only Granny Smith apple juice sourced from Showalter’s Orchards, local honey and fresh ginger.
And last but not least we have another new book from Local Author Don Halstead, “Cats In The House”. this children’s book describes the daily activities (and occasional adventures ) of two very pampered housecats Emma and Pipin.
